Job Summary:
Under close supervision, this position is responsible for providing general administrative support and Tier 1 assistance on HR- and Payroll-related inquiries to employees across J.B. Hunt including questions regarding general health and wellness support, inquiry support and resolution, transaction processing, document and data collection/validation and records retention activities.

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:
•Provide customer service for routine manager and employee inquiries; respond to, work and resolve all HR and Payroll problem tickets and HRIS customer care tickets in a timely manner; troubleshoot issues as they arise and escalate as needed
•Document HR Service Center call activities and assign to appropriate party, as required, in HR Case Management Tool
•Ensure all paperwork and data received is processed accurately and in a timely manner, including basic and routine payroll data from time sheets, production records, individual attendance records, or garnishments
•Meet acceptable standards of service center metrics, such as hold time, length of call, transfers, unavailable time, resolution and processing accuracy and timeliness
•Communicate and interpret HR, Payroll, and Time & Attendance policies and procedures for managers and employees
•Ensure the accuracy and completeness of personnel records; maintain a high level of data integrity and protection of personally identifiable information (PII) in the HRIS
•Support HR technology and application testing, implementations and/or updates; execute periodic mass data changes
•Support partnership with other internal departments, business units and senior management to ensure the effective implementation of HR policies
•Coordinate as needed with HR Centers of Expertise and HR Operations to ensure that human resources core services are delivered effectively and efficiently
•Perform other routine processing and transactions, such as unemployment claims, wage verification requests, tuition reimbursement requests, ad hoc payments, in a timely and accurate manner
•Perform other duties as assigned


Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent; 6 or more months of related experience, education or training.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent; 1 year or more of related experience, education or training. Experience in a call center environment or in Human Resources.
  • Ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment
