Job Summary:
Under general supervision, this position is responsible for overseeing all design, configuration, development and implementation aspects of their functional area based on business needs. The incumbent evaluates and enhances HR technology functionality, including ongoing maintenance, configuration, implementation and testing of new processes and programs.

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop new HR technology and applications based on identified business and functional requirements; define system requirements for configuration and setup
  • Identify, understand and document the current state needs and the “as is” environment to provide functional expertise and knowledge of the existing business practices as well as reconciling those requirements to new system capabilities and scope
  • Maintain and support on HR systems and applications including software installations, upgrades, compliance updates, program coding, maintenance, backing-up data and administering security/access protocols
  • Manage day-to-day application configuration, deployment and data maintenance, including security configuration and HRIS functionality review
  • Provide support as needed in the relationship between the business teams and the project team, as well as represent the user interests in system design and software configuration planning meetings
  • Support the relationship with business leaders and key stakeholders to understand problems, assess risks and benefits, and present solutions
  • Manage system testing of functionality on behalf of the business users and work with super users to establish a comprehensive training and deployment plan
  • Manage implementations and/or updates of HR systems and applications
  • Design and develop the tools and technology necessary to create the measures and metrics to support the needs of the business
  • Review, update and author HRIS policies and procedures
  • Work with third party vendors for engagement or development of systems
  • Support the partnership with other internal departments, business units and senior management to ensure the effective implementation of HR Technology policies
  • Collaborate as needed with HR Centers of Expertise and HR Operations to ensure that human resources core services are delivered effectively and efficiently
  • Perform other duties as assigned


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, Accounting, Economics, Industrial Psychology, or Mathematics 4 years of related experience; or minimum of 5 years experience with HRIS systems (Workday, SAP, PeopleSoft), and minimum of 3 years experience with Benefits, Talent, Staffing, Payroll, or HR Core functionality; or 8 years combined relevant experience, education or training

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, Industrial Psychology or related field with up 5-7 years of related experience in technology systems.
  • Ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment
  • Ability to communicate effectively through all mediums
  • Ability to motivate others
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Ability to understand and apply business acumen
  • Analytical skills
  • Experience in Microsoft Programs (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

  • Experience with HRIS/Talent Management/Payroll systems
  • Problem Solving skills
  • Proficient active listening skills

Bachelors: Mathematics, Masters: Human Resources Management, Masters: Computer and Information Science, GED (Required), High School (Required)
