Job Summary:
The J.B. Hunt Market Research Internship is designed to give students the opportunity to extend their classroom learning and get “real world” industry experience, while still completing their degree. This Internship opportunity is different than most internships, in that it is “year-round”. Our interns work 10-20 hours a week during the semester and up to 35 hours a week when classes are not in session. This allows the student to maximize the opportunity of gaining practical work experience.

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct research on various regions and markets to identify areas of improvement.
  • Responsible for accuracy and timely completion of report requests.
  • Report results of research, including information in the form of graphs, charts, and tables.
  • Compile data for processing by organizing information and checking for any inaccuracies.
  • Evaluate sources of information in order to determine any limitations in terms of reliability or usability.
  • Present analysis to management as needed.


What does it take to be considered:

  • Enrolled in a degree program such as Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Economics, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Organizational Development, Mathematics or related university degree program. 
  • Have and maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.75. 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • It is preferred that an intern candidate have at least 18 months to projected graduation; All internships will last at least 6 months.
