Job Summary:
Under general supervision, this position defines the data and user requirements (e.g., business needs, process flows, test scenarios, timing) for input into the project plans and scope of projects that are small to medium sized in scope and/or complexity. The incumbent acts as the liaison between the business and project team. The incumbent also understands the project portfolio to know key touchpoints and interdependencies between projects. The role directly supports Project Manager(s) in planning and execution activities and may assist with some project management duties as backup or as business / capacity needs dictate.

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Project Management team in planning, executing, managing and monitoring of HR projects
  • Act as the primary liaison between the business teams and the project team, as well as representing the user interests in program design and planning meetings
  • Support business leaders and key stakeholders in understanding problems, assessing risks and benefits, and presenting solutions
  • Identify, understand and document the current state needs and the “as is” environment to provide functional expertise and knowledge of the existing business practices as well as reconciling those requirements to new program capabilities and scope
  • Collaborate with the HR Operations and HR Centers of Expertise to create Business Requirements Documents (BRDs) and align high-level business processes to specific use cases for the business
  • Work with business users to develop necessary processes or procedural changes to streamline the business and to accommodate upcoming changes and/or updates
  • Participate in early system testing on behalf of the business users and work with the training team and super users to establish a comprehensive training and deployment plan
  • Engage with the Enterprise & HR Organizational Change Management teams to partner with leaders and employees to lead, execute and manage change throughout the organization
  • Prepare, maintain and archive a library of process and business requirement documentation; develop workflow charts, work standards, and work method improvements
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field, or foreign equivalent, or suitable combination of education, experience and training with 2 or more years of experience in a technical or business functional role; or 6 years combined relevant experience, education or training.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field, or foreign equivalent, or suitable combination of education, experience and training; and 2-4 years of experience in a technical or business functional role
  • Certification of Capability in Business Analysis (CCBA) and/or International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA)
  • Ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment
  • Ability to effectively communicate through all mediums (verbal and written)
  • Awareness and working knowledge of IT infrastructure
  • Deep understanding of current trends and general business knowledge within HR Systems
  • Detail-oriented
  • Displays a sense of urgency
  • Effective cross-functional decision making
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Experience facilitating effective brainstorming
  • Experience in business process mapping and optimization
  • Experience with end-user testing and/or training
  • Highly effective influence skills resulting in a trusted advisor relationship with IT and business
  • Knowledge of business applications strategy and implementation
  • Knowledge of Power BI and other reporting tools
  • Results-oriented
  • Strong presentation skills

Education:
Bachelors: Computer and Information Science, Bachelors: Management Information Systems, GED (Required), High School (Required)

Work Experience:
Business Analysis, Human Resources

Certifications:
Certification of Capability in Business Analysis (CCBA) - International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA)
