Job Summary:
Under general supervision, this position is capable of supervising and mentoring junior team members. The incumbent is responsible for the development of technology that meet the requirements of internal business areas. The incumbent is also responsible for developing project plans, monitoring the progress of plan, communicating progress status, managing change requests, and addressing other project issues and risks as they arise. The incumbent is responsible for assigned projects being on time and on budget. Expert understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle and the ability to apply it including identifying which methodology best suits the project is essential. Expert knowledge and understanding of Project Management Office processes and coordinates/communicates with the Project Management Office on projects is utilized as required.

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plans and executes large/complex projects and/or change management methodologies across multiple domains and business groups; may manage multiple projects at a time.
  • Works closely with business owners and Business Analysts to understand the business goals and objectives and deliver solutions that align with those goals.
  • Communicates project status to project stakeholders.
  • Manages issues and project change requests by obtaining scope and business approval and updates project plan for any changes according to project management methodology.
  • Provides input into project budgetary processes and development.
  • Coordinates and is responsible for project scoping efforts.
  • Coordinates development team responsibilities and events.
  • Manages the Change Record cycle from initiation to close including representing in change control.
  • Identifies, assesses, and manages risk to the success of the project.
  • Provides team leadership and input on change.
  • Works with Organizational Change Management personnel to manage process change for end users including communication, training, and adoption.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or foreign equivalent, or suitable combination of education, training and experience
  • Four years of related experience; or two years of related experience plus two years of management experience; plus 4 years experience using DB2 and MS SQL database systems, Java, elastic search, Angular JS, Microsoft Azure (cloud-based solutions), JMeter, Junit, Spring, Boot, Typescript, Active MQ, SQL Database, Tomcat.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Project Management Professional Certification
  • Project+
  • Information Technology Infrastructure Library Certifications
  • Agile Certified Practitioner Certification

Bachelors: Management Information Systems (Required), Bachelors: Computer and Information Science (Required), Bachelors: Information Technology (Required), Bachelors: Business Administration/Management (Required)

Work Experience:
Task Management

Agile Certified Practitioner Certification - Project Management Institute (PMI), Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification - Project Management Institute (PMI), Project+ Certification - Computing Technology Industry Association (CompTIA)
