Job Summary:
This position is responsible for overseeing day-to-day delivery of Talent Optimization programs and services aligned to Organizational Development/Effectiveness, Culture & Employee Experience. The incumbent collaborates with HR Business Partners and HR Operations to respond to complex employee needs regarding Talent Optimization. This position works to enhance the overall organizational effectiveness through diagnosing, analyzing, proposing, and implementing actions. The incumbent will also be a subject matter expert with the ability to make time-sensitive decisions, manage multiple competing priorities, and teach or train others.

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with HR Centers of Expertise and HR Operations to define and deploy employee experience listening, organizational development, talent assessments and workforce planning
  • Shape and drive the culture, values and standards of J.B. Hunt to facilitate a best-in-class employee experience
  • Identify and monitor key drivers of employee engagement and continue to evaluate the changing forces within the labor market
  • Oversee organizational effectiveness assessments and recommend programs to address issues; consult with management on monitoring, reviewing, and evaluating organizational effectiveness
  • Manage day-to-day oversight of projects. Prepare, maintain, and update project plans, agendas and systems set-up for projects. This includes determining project steps, activities, the sequence of events, critical success paths, dependencies, and the duration of tasks. Establish and track milestones, and delivery dates for projects and process enhancements
  • Identify and acquire appropriate resources needed, ensuring availability necessary for project deliverables. Manage resources within respective departments, other internal departments, outside service providers as well as materials committed to the projects 
  • Conduct inferential analyses on specific areas of the business and present findings internally to inform business decisions and further the advancement of the workforce analytics team
  • Identify, analyze and propose appropriate analytics and metrics for evaluating Talent Optimization program effectiveness; support the development or enhancement of Talent Optimization processes and procedures to drive automation, efficiency and maximize productivity


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Organizational Development, or a related field, with 4 years of related experience and 2 years of organizational development experience, education, and training; or 10 or more years combined relevant experience, education, and training

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Human Resources, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Organizational Development, or a related field of study, with 5 or more years of organizational development-related experience, education, and training; or Ph.D. or ABD in Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Business Intelligence/Business Analytics and/or equivalent experience with 2 or more years of experience in a corporate setting
  • HR Professional Certification - HRCI
  • HR Professional Certification - SHRM
  • Advanced understanding of current I-O methods, principles, guidelines and legal principles, with a special emphasis on selection, assessment, and psychometrics
  • Knowledge of job analysis, competency model development, test development, validation, and adverse impact analyses; Solid understanding of professional, ethical, and legal standards in employment testing, measurement, and selection (SIOP, APA Standards, AERA, Uniform Guidelines, OFCCP, etc.)
  • Thorough understanding of statistics and psychometrics
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Experience in Project Management, including: Strong project management skill set including organization skills, planning, self-motivation, working autonomously, responsiveness to clients, etc.
  • Strong written communication skills needed to develop technical documentation, new written examination or structured interview items, supporting documents, etc.
  • Highly analytical, with excellent problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Experience with human capital, workforce planning, organizational development or design in a consulting capacity
  • Experience with leading quantitative and qualitative workforce data analysis using statistical programs and survey software, including Excel
  • Working knowledge of SPSS syntax and practical experience evaluating assessment data in SPSS
  • Professional presence and demeanor with a strong customer service orientation
  • Strong oral communication skills and client presentation skills;
  • Ability to explain complex statistical analyses in comprehensible terms
  • Ability to suggest different product offerings to suit the client’s needs based on their psychometric properties
  • Able to apply knowledge and expertise to client situations
