Job Summary:
Under general supervision, this position is responsible for leading a team of managers and supporting activities that maximize overall company profitability. This position is responsible for assisting with the annual budget process, initiating and managing projects, and having the potential to travel to meet onsite with customers

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and approve team's pricing bid and proposals, accessorials, etc., to ensure consistency with company objectives, aligns with growth strategy, and delivers on quality of revenue, yield management and overall company profitability
  • Direct, motivate, coach, counsel, advise, guide, and develop team members, including the hiring/firing decisions
  • Assists with the annual budget process using company systems to extract data to forecast volume and rate • Initiate, manage, and implement projects that will have positive impacts on profitability or operations
  • Travel to and meet onsite with customers to conduct account reviews to maintain market competitive pricing to retain and expand business
  • Consult with Sales, Customer Experience and Operations teams to understand customer requirements, objectives related to pricing needs and market intelligence, as needed


Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED with 5 or more years of experience.

Preferred Qualification:

Bachelor's degree in transportation logistics, mathematics, economics, or a related field with 5 or more years of relevant LTL and 3PL transportation logistics, management, or finance experience or comparable combination of education, experience, and training
Proficient time-management skills
Ability to multitask
Ability to handle a stressful work-environment
Ability to make time-sensitive decisions
Basic deductive reasoning skills
Ability to communicate numbers effectively
Ability to negotiate/influence internal teams/departments of JB Hunt
Ability to measure the quality and quantity of work effort for the improvement efforts in quality and productivity
Operations experience
Knowledge of pricing tools, techniques and methods; ability to assess analytical and pricing models through the use of statistical principles
1 year of Pricing Manager III experience preferred
Experience in management.

Bachelors: Economics, Bachelors: Mathematics, Bachelors: Transportation Logistics, GED (Required), High School (Required)

Work Experience:
Finance, Management-Entry Level, Transportation/Logistics
