Job Summary:
Under general supervision, this position is responsible for handling the largest and/or most complex accounts, and managing the efficiency and accuracy of the application of all charges for invoicing purposes. Identify and resolve issues regarding freight payment or issues with the customer, (e.g., collections, variances). This individual will be a subject matter expert with the ability to make time-sensitive decisions, manage multiple competing priorities, and teach or train others.
Job Description:
Key Responsibilities: - Accurate and timely invoicing
- Compile and construct data for reporting for accessorial updates • Work with internal teams to improve processes, discuss action plans, and/or contractual changes, and achieve organizational/department/team goals and objectives • Audit billed charges for validity
- Team leader that takes on projects outside of regular workload and is a point of contact for management • Set up automated aging reports
- Self direct and manage the most complex receivables to include auditing, processing balance dues, and revenue adjustments
- Reduce outstanding accounts receivables of assigned customers
- Reach out to customer contacts for payment status
- Obtain and investigate missing or incomplete documentation to meet customer billing requirements
- Established leader responsible for teaching and mentoring new employees
- Direct the application of customer payments to outstanding invoices
- Network and build relationships with both JB Hunt employees and external customers by responding to inquiries and complaints regarding accessorial billing processes, notifications, billing issues, etc. and identify root cause and solutions to issues
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications: - High School Diploma or GED with 2-3 years combination of education, experience and training.
Preferred Qualifications: - Associates degree in Finance, Business Administration/Management, Communication, Transportation Logistics, or related field with 2-3 years of experience
