Job Summary:
Under general direction, this position is responsible for the development and implementation of inventory policies and procedures that improve workflow and support business objectives. The incumbent will direct all actions that support production schedules including receiving, storing, issuing and controlling inventories; ensure that customer requirements are met or exceeded and that there is ongoing improvement in inventory management practices and service level agreements. The position will perform multiple personnel management tasks including but not limited to staffing, performance management, annual reviews, and time and attendance.  

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement and administer inventory guidelines including warranty retention for all locations and ensure policies and procedures are followed and maintained at all accounts; take corrective action at accounts when necessary
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Consult on tractor and trailer parts related issues, campaigns, tooling, and equipment modifications in MFG meetings
  • Ensure core management is maintained
  • Perform multiple personnel management tasks including but not limited to discipline, staffing, performance management, annual reviews, and time and attendance
  • Oversee fulfillment of shipping department stock orders and backorders in local warehouses
  • Manage tractor/trailer ordering and refurbished items in tracking systems; advise on tractor and trailer parts related issues, campaigns, tooling, and equipment modifications in MFG meetings
  • Monitor down units and local part purchases to adjust stocking levels as needed
  • Review all inventory related reports to guarantee customer satisfaction and the rectification of issues; utilize reports to monitor inventory turn rates, monthly sales, on-hand balances, inactive parts, zero balances, and backorders
  • Perform annual inventory account audits and ensure inventory obsolescence is kept to a minimum through vendor returns and relocation of inventory across facilities
  • Ensure all locations adhere to the cycle count program and monitor program effectiveness

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED with 5-7 years of inventory and/or related experience; posses a valid driver's license with a clean motor vehicle record as per JBH standards.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to fulfill physical requirements (lift/move appliance up to 50 pounds)
  • Ability to wear appropriate work attire (protective gear/PPE)
  • Advanced analytical skills

  • Advanced math skills 
  • Advanced organizational skills
  • Advanced problem solving skills 
  • Experience in conducting research
  • Experience in direct or indirect people management
  • Experience in influencing and collaborating across groups

  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment  
  • Interest in learning new technologies/software applications  
  • Self-motivated 
  • Travel up to 40%.

Education:
GED (Required), High School (Required)

Work Experience:
Maintenance, Safety, Transportation/Logistics

Certifications:
Non Commercial Driver's License - Department of Transportation
