Job Summary:
Under administrative direction, this position will assist in the management and execution of corporate financial, planning and analysis (FP&A), and investor relations and corporate development activities. The incumbent will be responsible for leading financial analysis for the enterprise and as it pertains to corporate development opportunities. They work with business leaders to assess financial performance, prepare data and analysis to assist senior leaders regarding communication strategy with the investment community and lead due diligence efforts for corporate development opportunities. This individual will need to have extensive experience modeling financial scenarios and conducting advanced financial analysis on performance, while also benchmarking performance against industry peers. This candidate will also supervise the development of other finance leaders in the organization. 

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with senior executives on helping execute investor relations strategy and messaging to the investment community
  • Work closely with senior executives on corporate development opportunities, and work closely with financial and legal advisors on while leading due diligence efforts on acquisition targets
  • Analyze operations to evaluate performance of the company or its staff in meeting objectives or to determine areas of potential cost reduction, program improvement, or policy change
  • Review reporting on monthly financial reports, analyses, forecasts, executive management summaries and/or quarterly earnings releases
  • Ensure teams complete special projects in a timely manner and on budget if applicable
  • Direct or create policies, objectives, or activities for the company to ensure continuing operations, maximize returns on investments, or increase productivity
  • Develop, install, maintain and/or recommend changes to the forecasting systems and/or processes individually or through team leadership
  • Develop and evaluate existing and proposed financial plans and policies to ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of the organization’s financial administration

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Business, Supply Chain, Business Finance, or related field, or foreign equivalent, or suitable combination of education, experience and training in a related field; and 7-10 or years of related experience with 3-5 years of supervisory experience
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Knowledge of accounting
  • Knowledge of financials

  • Ability to make time sensitive decisions and think critically

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Business Administration/Management, or related field, or foreign equivalent, or suitable combination of education, experience and training
  • Experience in the transportation industry
  • Experience managing/supervising a team Interest in learning new technologies/software applications

Education:
Bachelors: Business Administration/Management (Required), Bachelors: Finance (Required), Bachelors: Supply Chain Management (Required), GED (Required), High School (Required)

Work Experience:
Accounting/Payroll, Auditing, Finance, Management-Mid Level

Certifications:
Certified Public Accountant - National Association of State Board of Accountancy (US)
