Does J.B. Hunt Offer Parental Leave Benefits?
Welcoming a child is an exciting time for new parents! J.B. Hunt offers leave options for expectant parents and their partners to enjoy this special time in their lives with their growing family. Birthing parents can benefit from up to six weeks of 100% paid maternity leave, with the opportunity to take additional paid time should they need or qualify. Non-birthing partners, as well as birthing parents, can take up to two weeks of paid parental leave to bond with their new child.
“I appreciate the values J.B. Hunt has around work-life balance,” said Montez, a senior sales manager in Overland Park, Kan. “I have never felt burdened by work as if it was keeping me from caring and being present for my children. Support has always been there to make sure things at home are in order.”
Does J.B. Hunt Give Adoption Financial Support and Leave?
J.B. Hunt also provides financial support to employees who are welcoming a child into their family through adoption, up to $5,000. This can be used to help with adoption fees or legal expenses. Adoptive parents are also eligible for two weeks of 100% paid parental leave to celebrate their growing family and to focus on their newest family member. This time may be taken during the placement for adoption or once the adoption is finalized.
“My husband and I started foster care in 2017 and through the process adopted three amazing children,” shared Grant, a safety supervisor. “While this process was stressful and emotional helping these beautiful children overcome the hardships they were dealt so early in life, I honestly do not believe we would have been able to get through it as gracefully as we did had I not been in such a supportive and caring workplace.”
What Military Leave Benefits Does J.B. Hunt Offer Employees?
As a military-friendly employer, we are proud to have so many employees that actively serve our country across many branches of military service. Members of the National Guard and Reserve who are called to active duty or training are entitled to military leave to meet their service obligations, including leave for military service and to honor training commitments.
Military members and their families may also take up to 26 weeks during a calendar year to care for a family member or loved one who becomes injured or ill while on active duty.
“J.B. Hunt has been really good about supporting me, especially with the oddball times of when I have to go on drill weekends and stuff like that,” shared Nicholas, a tractor technician and member of the Arkansas National Guard. “I can just go up to the shop manager without an issue and tell him when my upcoming dates are, and he’ll accommodate my schedule to fit my drill weekends where I don’t lose my paycheck or have to utilize too much of my PTO.”
