When we say we support veterans, we mean it. In 2014, J.B. Hunt pledged to hire 10,000 veterans by 2020. We achieved that goal and are expanding our military program to provide more support for military veterans than ever before, with an ongoing goal of hiring 1,600 veterans per year.
The J.B. Hunt family is made up of drivers, mechanics and office employees. No matter your interests or skills, explore our open positions to find your next career move.
J.B. Hunt implements several training and development programs, like our mentorship initiatives and our work with the Department of Defense’s SkillBridge Internship program, to provide support and resources for transitioning service members and their spouses. If you are interested in the SkillBridge program, reach out to learn more about our available opportunities.
We also offer specialized training for current J.B. Hunt managers and supervisors, so they understand ways to best support their veteran or active duty employees in their civilian careers. For those interested in a career on the road, J.B. Hunt’s Driver Apprenticeship Program is a great way for recent CDL-A graduates to gain hands-on training and successfully start their truck driving career.
We are proud to have so many people who have served this country on our team, and appreciate the sacrifices of our active military employees and their families. J.B. Hunt provides a complete military deployment and reentry guide, as well as make-whole and differential pay, to help veterans and active members of the military manage their military responsibilities and their jobs at J.B. Hunt.
J.B. Hunt collaborates with several non-profit organizations to be able to provide financial assistance, job training, placement services and job accommodations for transitioning service members and disabled veterans. Veterans, and those who support our service members, can also get involved in the community and with J.B. Hunt through our Veterans Employee Resource Group (VERG).
