Job Summary:
Under general direction, the Creative Project Manager role will oversee the day-to-day operations of our Corporate Marketing Design department, including oversight of project management, execution of creative strategy through managing the design production team’s day-to-day activities and will interface between marketing management, sales teams, content, digital and video teams.  

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day of creative development for corporate marketing to deliver high-quality, impactful brand and creative
  • Collaborate with marketing stakeholders on understanding the strategy and creative briefs for carrying through to execution by the Design team
  • Manage a team of visual artists consisting of interns, juniors and senior graphic designers
  • Assign and oversee the creative visual content for digital and email marketing campaigns, website management and media formation through internal teams, leadership and third-party vendors
  • Work with our marketing management team to understand project scopes, timelines, priorities and direction for the design team and work fluidly on deliverable deadlines and shifts
  • Communicate priorities and direction to the creative team (designers and external agencies, etc.) in the creation of visual marketing assets including photography, videography, graphics for print and digital and display
  • Responsible for the delivery of quality creative work that meets client needs and addresses their business challenges and opportunities
  • Work cross-functionally to support and drive business objectives
  • Commitment to mastery of our software platforms including project management and creative software
  • Provide feedback through formal proofing and informal collaboration and training to team members to ensure the highest level of quality is maintained
  • Ownership of our project workflows and timelines, including providing clear reporting on project status on a regular basis
  • Manage external production vendors
  • Partner with creative leads and Marketing Managers to advocate for creative process and design integrity
  • Proactively identify and remove blockers that prevent the team from delivering
  • Monitor projects to anticipate risks and scope creep
  • Develop and communicate mitigation plans to creative leads and stakeholders
  • Help maintain consistent brand voice, expression, and visual styles in all deliverables
  • Proofing of initial phases of design work, coordinating for brand integrity with brand manager, Sr. Creative Strategy Managers and Video Sr. Manager

The ideal candidate for this role will possess the following characteristics:

  • Fast learner with a solid understanding of product and services marketing concepts
  • Positive and upbeat communication with our internal team as well as our external clients
  • Ability to adapt in a growing, changing environment
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing and corporate marketing strategies
  • High level of experience with the Adobe Creative Suite and ability to contribute to design projects as needed
  • Self-motivated and organized to ensure project expectations are clearly communicated and maintained throughout the project


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design/Visual Arts, Strategic Communications, Advertising, Journalism, English or a similar degree area with at least 5 years related marketing experience required and management experience, overseeing a combination of projects OR High School degree or equivalent with 7 years direct experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 6+ years of experience project managing creative work at a brand, product, and/or agency
  • Project management certification
  • Experience managing high-quality creative across many channels
  • Experience managing campaigns across social, digital, print and experiential marketing
  • Accustomed to navigating the unknown and proactively things forward despite constraints changing
  • Experience managing budgets
  • Can determine project risk and escalate issues as needed
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Considerable knowledge of marketing principles and practices
  • Ability to compose and present comprehensive reports
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Strong analytical, research and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and Workday
  • Management of collaborative projects from ideation through planning and execution
  • A history of coaching, leading, and influencing to foster a collaborative and creative environment
