Job Summary:
Under minimal supervision, the Change and Release Engineer is responsible for providing guidance and coordinate with many different teams along with the business to facilitate changes to business-critical applications and any production change through multiple development environments up-to and including production. The Change and Release Engineer will assist with setting the standards, guideline and procedures using industry best practices.

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop a set of common strategies for change and release governance across the enterprise.
  • Apply a change management process and tools to create a strategy to support adoption of the changes required by E&T projects or initiatives.
  • Conduct impact analyses assess change readiness and identify key stakeholders
  • Provide input, document requirements and support the design and delivery of training programs.
  • Facilitate enterprise coordination of change and release management functions.
  • Track and manage an enterprise-wide release calendar.
  • Report on enterprise-wide exposure to release related risk and effectively mitigate risk.
  • Measure and report on change and release KPI metrics.
  • Tracks and reports on changes to releases.
  • Communicate scope/schedule/resource changes, verbally or through written documentation, to management and stakeholders so that issues, solutions, and trending are understood.


Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • Experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Deliver (CI/CD).
  • Experience and knowledge of change management principles, methodologies and tools
  • Knowledge of ITIL standard and best practices.
  • Must be able to work both independently and in a fast-paced team-oriented environment.
  • Can conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Must be able to adjust and make changes promptly and efficiently.
  • Must be able to foster positive cross functional team collaborations from a wide variety of sources, including upper management, clients, and individuals.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Network Engineering, or related field, or foreign equivalent, or suitable combination of education, experience and training.
  • 2 years of experience in Information Technology/Systems using technologies such as: SQL, SSIS, SSRS, Java, Azure, GCP, Powershell, Power BI, Kubernetes, Tomcat and WebSphere environments, Hyper-V Machine Manager, VMware Vcenter; experience with both Windows and Linux.
  • Ability to lift 60lbs.
