Training and Development
Your career shouldn’t be the end of growing your knowledge but the beginning. At J.B. Hunt, it is part of our culture to be a place of learning, where big ideas are welcomed and answers to tough questions are found.
Our dedicated Training and Development team has helped put together in-person training courses that allow our people to grow their leadership, interpersonal, efficiency, innovative expertise. These in-person trainings are accompanied by hundreds of LinkedIn Learning and Workday courses focused on topics ranging from technical and transferable skills to people and professional skills.
One of our Engineering and Technology Managers, Carl, says the continued learning opportunities are part of what keeps him here. “The culture at J.B. J.B. Hunt Scholarship Program for Families
Our commitment to supporting our employees extends to their families, too. Through Scholarship America, the J.B. Hunt Scholarship Program for Families provides financial assistance to dependent children or grandchildren of J.B. Hunt employees hoping to attend college or vocational school programs.
Last year, we were thrilled to award scholarships to J.B. Hunt families. Applications are open annually each fall, and all full-time employees who have been with the company at least one year are welcome to apply.
“The J.B. Hunt Scholarship gives my family and I an insight into how much the company cares for its workers,” shared Jenny, a scholarship recipient. “For a company to be helping its workers and their dependents in this way really shows how much the company is willing to do for its employees.”

J.B. Hunt is a proud supporter of the University of Arkansas, donating $7 million over the past five years to fund education programs focused on advancing the future of supply chain. This year, J.B. Hunt and the Walton College of Business announced the renaming of their supply chain department, ranked number one in the country, as the J.B. Hunt Transport Department of Supply Chain Management.
The collaboration between J.B. Hunt and the University of Arkansas strives to build Northwest Arkansas into the premier hub for the future of supply chain and logistics. Through our work together, we’re proud to give the future minds of supply chain the tools they need to lead the industry.
