What is ICS?
Created in 2007 as a new solution for our customers, ICS is part of our highway services solutions and is J.B. Hunt’s freight brokerage arm. ICS’ goal is to match the right load with the right truck to help get the customer’s needs met and the freight delivered on time.
“We’re truly trying to solve what’s best for the customer,” said Eric McGee, executive vice president of highway services. “In many instances, it is our asset. But in many other instances, it’s someone else’s. So, for us to solve, the most efficient answer is to use the right truck, whether it’s ours or someone else’s.”

Logistics Solutions Representative
Our logistics solutions representatives are a part of the J.B. Hunt journey from beginning to end. Some of their responsibilities involve representing the company through sales, fostering customer relationships, brokering and tendering loads, securing capacity and doing their best to ensure a successful delivery. In this position, you get to work with many internal teams and create connections through the networking opportunities available.
Capacity Procurement Representative
As an ICS capacity procurement representative, you get to put your negotiation skills to the test. This is J.B. Hunt’s version of a freight broker. You negotiate with third-party carriers to meet profit and revenue goals, interact with carriers on a regular basis and help manage and monitor the freight in transit with the carrier. This position is a great way to remain current on supply chain information and understand market trends, allowing you to grow in your career and knowledge of the industry.
Customer Experience Representative
If you’re a clear and engaging communicator, then a job as a customer experience representative might be the perfect one for you. In this role, your main focus is staying in contact with J.B. Hunt customers and working to fulfill our customers’ needs. Customer experience representatives stay in almost constant contact with their assigned customer, which helps them develop a deep understanding of the customer’s unique needs and helps J.B. Hunt create solutions for them.
Customer Experience Support
Working hand-in hand with our customer experience representatives, our customer experience support employees are responsible for booking loads into the system, scheduling pickup and delivery appointments and staying informed on the status of each load along its route.
Client Manager
Client managers serve as point-of-contact between J.B. Hunt customers and the business. The client manager will take ownership of the account and cultivate a close relationship with the customer, communicating with them often, managing the day-to-day events and overseeing the success of our performance.
