Hunt. From our employee resource group formed for veterans and those who support them to our commitment to hiring 1,600 veterans a year, there’s a place here for every service member.
SkillBridge Program
Through this Department of Defense program, service members are given the opportunity to gain civilian work experience while still on active duty. This program is available to military members, as well as their spouses, who are within 180 days of release from active duty. The SkillBridge program allows you to look into career opportunities and gain relevant experience while slowly transitioning into civilian life after your service ends. Our company is proud to offer veterans the option to partake in this program and to potentially become a part of the J.B. Hunt family.
Military Leave Benefits
At J.B. Hunt, we aim to provide comprehensive benefits for our employees. As a military-friendly employer, we are happy to support those who serve in any stage of their career or service. Military members and their family members are also eligible to take up to 26 weeks per calendar year to care for a family member who suffers an injury or becomes ill while on active duty.
Veterans Employee Resource Group (VERG)
VERG is our employee resource group that all employees are welcome to join, but it is a particularly great resource for our veterans and active-duty employees. This group is a great place to continue learning more about the military, get support from fellow veterans and allows for a safe space where members can share their stories and build a community.

Active-Duty Support
At J.B. Hunt, we are proud to be a Freedom Award recipient, but we are prouder of our support to employees called to active-duty service. We also provide a military deployment and re-entry guide for our active-duty employees as well as offering whole and differential pay to support members in their military and civilian career.
