At J.B. Hunt, we value a workplace culture where all employees feel empowered to be authentically themselves. Our employee resource groups (ERGs) are one of the ways employees, of varying backgrounds, can connect and make their voices heard within our organization.

About PLUS(+)

PLUS(+) aims to create a safe, authentic and empowering community for individuals who identify as LGBTQIA+ and allies to build connections that impact their personal and professional wellbeing. PLUS(+) is an all-encompassing group, welcoming all J.B. Hunt employees that want to get involved.

Educate and Engage

PLUS(+) engages all J.B. Hunt employees and offers a space for continuous learning to help build understanding. They provide educational opportunities and resources on various LGBTQIA+ topics that help foster understanding and acceptance within our company.

“PLUS(+) is amazing when it comes to inclusion. It doesn’t matter if you are LGBTQIA+ or not,” said Brooke, PLUS(+) member and customer experience representative at corporate. “They want everyone included to support and understand.”

Unite and Uplift

PLUS(+) connects J.B. Hunt with the community through volunteer events and outreach, with a focus on engaging with LGBTQIA+ organizations. PLUS(+) also works with other company ERGs to help unite all employees and show support across the organization. 

“Coming to J.B. Hunt, there’s always a group that’s for everyone. The best part about being a part of an employee resource group is that you get to connect with people who have the same interests as yourself,” said Darrell, a talent acquisition recruiter at our corporate campus.

Recruit and Retain

Through this pillar, PLUS(+) focuses on the professional development and growth of LGBTQIA+ employees and allies, while also focusing on recruiting new members through events or outreach efforts. This pillar offers PLUS(+) members and employees the resources they need to feel supported and successful in their careers at J.B. Hunt.

“Inclusion means to me getting to walk the same halls that Mr. Hunt did and feel the same sense of wholeness and pride and safety that he did,” said Sr. Director of People Relations, Jackie.
