Each one of our 33,000 people helps foster a workplace where big ideas are encouraged, and goals are reached. That means 33,000 people utilizing their uniqueness and working together to create a better J.B. Hunt and better supply chain.
We hold strongly to the belief that a qualified and inclusive workforce helps us represent the broad cross-section of ideas, values and beliefs of our employees, customers and communities. These values are reflected in our culture that respects the individual and cultivates inclusivity creating a place where all people feel welcomed, valued, respected, safe and heard. While we are proud of the strides we’ve made, we are committed to learning, evolving and getting better each day.
We believe that all employees play a role in creating an inclusive workplace, while also putting leaders in place to guide us on our path. Our Inclusion team is a group of individuals responsible for ensuring inclusion exists in all aspects of our culture and business practices. They are supported by our Inclusion Council, a group of influential senior leaders who consult on key decisions to help create an exceptional experience for our people and drive how we do business.
Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) are voluntary, employee-led groups whose aim is to foster an inclusive workplace aligned with J.B. Hunt's business objectives. Each of our seven ERGs play a vital role in creating communities within our company as well as helping to accomplish inclusion goals. All employees - both members and non-members - are invited to attend ERG-sponsored activities that spark their passions, encourage their desire to grow or promote overall confidence.
Hear From Our Team
“Building and promoting an inclusive workplace is critical to our organization because it creates an environment where employees are empowered.”
Shelley Simpson
President and CEO
“I think diversity and inclusion is necessary to keep business moving, because it allows people to feel comfortable, to share ideas and not having to constantly think about how they are perceived. It allows businesses to flourish to have different perspectives.”
