GROW: Growing and Retaining Outstanding Women
We believe that inclusion makes us better. One piece of that inclusion puzzle is our employee-led, voluntary groups known as employee resource groups (ERGs). Each one of these groups helps us connect as an organization and grow together.

About GROW
GROW was the first of many ERGs at J.B. Hunt, and it supports women in our organization personally and professionally through its pillars of recruitment and retainment, professional development and building connections. All employees, regardless of gender, are welcome and encouraged to get involved with GROW.
“I think GROW is a great opportunity for people to get involved and meet people outside of their particular department,” said Rachel, vice president of operations. “Not only is it good socially, but also you just learn more about the company, and if there are new opportunities that maybe you wouldn’t have heard of otherwise, you have exposure to that.”
GROW Events
Throughout the year, GROW hosts various Lunch and Learn presentations, networking events and volunteer activities that align with its mission to celebrate women in the workplace and build community at J.B. Hunt.
For International Women’s Day, GROW hosts a week-long celebration packed with professional development opportunities, fun events, panel discussions and keynote speakers.
Community Involvement
The impact of GROW extends outside of J.B. Hunt. GROW partners with several local organizations that provide support for women, giving members the chance to serve their community and connect with women outside of J.B. Hunt.
“We look for different ways to help out in the community and specifically helping women,” said Jennifer, GROW member and senior experience manager. “We’ve recently worked with the Girl Scouts of America to help bring transportation education to young girls so that they can see a career path inside of transportation as a future.”
Impacting Our Organization
Through its pillars for success, GROW recognizes the value women bring to J.B. Hunt and celebrates their accomplishments. GROW is a great way for employees to connect and build meaningful relationships with others across the organization.
“I would encourage anyone to join GROW, regardless of if you’re a woman or not. Our ability to learn from each other and create spaces of safety and inclusion happen when we share all our stories,” said Tori, member of GROW and vice president of sales.
